Larson is pleased to announce that Georgina Wakefield has joined the firm as counsel and Elizabeth Christianson has joined as an associate, both in the Los Angeles office.
Georgina joins the firm after serving as the Trial Unit Chief at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California in Los Angeles, where she oversaw the work of over 20 federal public defenders in addition to her own trial cases.
She is experienced in handling a variety of fraud cases, including wire fraud, bank fraud, tax fraud, mail fraud, health care fraud and securities fraud, as well as public corruption and bribery offenses, violations of import and export laws, and other regulatory offenses. Georgina has achieved complete acquittals in more than half of the cases she has tried to a jury or judge and secured dismissals in over 50 cases after pre-trial negotiations and/or litigation. She has also prevailed in and argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Before joining Larson, Liz was a floating law clerk for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She also clerked for the Hon. Mark A. Young of the Los Angeles Superior Court, where she gained extensive experience on a wide range of issues under California law. As a law student, Liz externed for the Hon. Jacqueline H. Nguyen of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Georgina served as a law clerk to Presiding Justice Norman L. Epstein in the California Court of Appeal for the Second District. She earned her J.D. and B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Liz earned her J.D. from The University of Iowa College of Law, and her B.A. from Wheaton College (MA).
