Daniel Lahana is a client-focused and trial-ready attorney for complex civil disputes and white collar criminal defense matters.
He has represented a wide range of clientele, from publicly traded businesses to individual physicians and hospitals. As an advocate, Daniel uses innovative and critical thinking coupled with a concrete understanding of the court system to best achieve his client’s objectives.
Across all stages of litigation, Daniel handles matters in both federal and state courts. He has litigated issues involving class action defense, complex real property transactions and disputes, trusts and estates, employment disputes, and trade secrets; along with government investigations and criminal proceedings. Daniel also has experience in the administrative realm, including physician peer-review and university disciplinary actions.
In addition to successfully arguing the dismissal of numerous cases at the pleading stage, Daniel has used his knowledge of more esoteric procedures to his clients’ benefit—including anti-SLAPP motions, which he has successfully argued and recovered significant attorneys’ fees. When clients are confronted with serious legal challenges on short notice—such as ex parte requests for temporary restraining orders, writs of attachment, or temporary protective orders—Daniel quickly grasps complicated facts and issues and effectively responds to the time-sensitive matters.
Daniel began his legal career as a clerk for the Honorable William F. Highberger in the Los Angeles County Superior Court Complex Civil Litigation Program handling the most intricate cases in the largest U.S. trial court. Prior to joining Larson, he was an associate at a litigation boutique in Los Angeles, where he represented high-net-worth individuals and businesses. In recognition of his commercial litigation work, Daniel was included in the past two editions of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America.
